Vern Brown #38

Vern started racing in 1971 in MCSCC campaigning a 1968 Corvette in B-Production moved to SCCA Regional racing in 1973 and SCCA National racing in 1974.  Ran some trans-am races in the 70's & 80's. After taking a five years break from racing he found FIRA, joining in 1990. Vern has two children Vern & Jodie and four grandchildren Anthony, Alexander, Abby-jo & Savanna. The #38/1 is a 2001 B&B Motorsports chassis (to those in the know B&B is Jim Bass & Vern Brown) powered by a 750cc 4cycle rice rocket. Among Vern's accomplishment in racing include: The 2003 PRO class championship, wins at the June Sprints in Elkhart Lake in 74 & 78, &  the last Nationals Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway that FIRA partcipated in. Vern is an AutoCAD technician for an architectural company. and is another member of AARP racing in FIRA! Vern said his goals where: "to have fun & win more races".
