#15 - John Benkert, McHenry, IL

(Rookie of the Year 1997)
Married with four children. John has been racing with RORI for
9 years now.
Speed is what interested him in racing. He describes his first racing experience as
"great, and a lot of fun". John's most memorable event was riding the wall
at Lake Geneva last year. John's racing philosophy is "Go left and drive fast,
don't go right". John prefers racing on an asphalt track because it's cleaner
and there are no bumps. His goal for this season is
"To beat the Old Grand Dog (Mark Findley)" John adds, this is a
good time, we look forward to each new year. We all have fun and
love it. Hope you can come out to see us, or race with us.
John's goal for the 2005 season was to
"Have fun with all the Rascal Outlaws and do the best I can do, and to keep my
car on all fours".
