May 27, 2007 - Grundy Speedway - After several rainy days the sun was finally out and Mother Nature shined on us all at the Grundy Speedway for our season opener. Rich Corso is back driving the #7 car this year for Team Aronson, we are happy to have him with us. Fast time today was taken by Kip Novotny with a time of 15.146, the old guy still has it! It was now time to radio the tower with our trophy dash and heat line-up, Normie did his best to get a hold of someone and finally discovered they actually answer when you hit the "call" button, imagine that. With the top four cars from time trials a trophy dash was run, the final result was Corso taking first, Mahoney taking second, Novotny taking third, and Findley taking 4th. Our heat began with Gundlach and Benkert out front followed by Pollak and Thiel. When the green flag flew Thiel wasted no time pulling into second position followed by Mahoney who rounded out the top three. Pollak left the track with car trouble during lap 5. In lap 7 Novotny took the lead pushing Gundlach into second and Thiel into third. Novotny hit dirt in the next lap dropping to 6th position and Gundlach took back his position followed by Thiel and Findley. Thiel battled Findley to maintain his position but Findley won out with the final result being Gundlach taking first, Findley taking second and Thiel rounding out the top three. With the feature ahead of us, we took to the track in our positions, stopped at the finish line for our driver introductions. With that done, it was time to start up the cars and start the race. As the cars roared and began to move one car stayed behind, Corso had lost a chain and was unable to compete. The feature began with Novotny, yes Novotny!, out front (was he sandbagging?) with Benkert beside him with Mahoney and Thiel right behind, the green flag flew and we were off. Novotny took off into first position followed by Mahoney in second and Benkert in third. Findley quickly moved up to third position and all three held their positions until the 15th lap when Findley overtook Mahoney for second, Findley was now after Novotny for the lead, but Novotny held his position and the final result was Novotny taking first, Findley taking second and Mahoney rounding out the top three. All in all it was a great day for racing and a wonderful start to our racing season. Grundy Speedway, June 3, 2007 - While it was raining cats and dogs in our neck of the woods as we neared Grundy we were happy to see the sun shining, it turned out to be a really great day for racing. During hotlaps today, our Series Champion (Jeff LeSage) on his first day out this season hit a slick spot and spun, hit the wall and rolled. It was a big disappointment to see his car towed off the track. Jeff will be fine and we hope to see our Champion back on the field soon. We were really looking forward to seeing him run. Video is on the photo's page. Fast time was taken by Findley today with a time of 15.528, good job Mark! With time trials over and our trophy dash and heat race line-ups completed, the cars were ready to roll. The four top qualifiers (Findley, Corso, LeSage and Mahoney) headed out for the 4-lap trophy dash. Corso quickly moved to lead position and held it to the end winning his second trophy dash of the season, congratulations Rick. Our 10-lap heat began with Gundlach out front followed by Thiel and Mahoney making the top three. By lap three Corso had overtaken Mahoney for third and began working on moving up. In lap five Corso overtook Thiel and was now in second with Gundlach holding onto first for one more lap. During lap 6, John LeSage spun resulting in a caution and restart, at this point Pollak left the field with car trouble. With Corso now in first followed by Gundlach and then Thiel, Findley was looking to move into the top three and by lap 8 it was Corso out front followed by Thiel in second and Findley rounding out the top three and they managed to hold their positions to the end. Great job guys. Our 20 lap feature began with Benkert out front and LeSage quickly moving in first position followed by Mahoney in second and Christophersen rounding out the top three. By lap three Findley had moved into third now followed by Christophersen. By lap 5 Corso had moved up to fourth and soon was in third moving Findley back one position. LeSage had a considerable lead and Mahoney and Corso battled for second. By lap 9 Corso was now in second and looking to catch LeSage who had quite the lead. Now it was Mahoney and Findley battling for third position. The final result was LeSage taking first, Corso taking second and Mahoney rounding out the top three. It was a great race guys. Congratulations John on your first feature win this year. Trophy dash winner, Corso, had this to say..."While it looked like we'd have rain today, we had sunshine here in Grundy and this week there was no sand at the beach." I wonder what old man he might be referring to? Manitowoc Fairgrounds, June 16, 2007 - It was good to be going north today with the heat in our neck of the woods ever climbing. We arrived in Manitowoc with partly cloudy skies and a nice breeze, it was a going to be a beautiful day for racing. We welcome Jacques "Jocko" Terrault to our team driving the #91 car, and it was good to see Kyle back on the track here at Manitowoc. The day was made extra special for me thanks to Roberta Pollak's exceptional baking skills, a wonderful chocolate (my favorite) birthday cake. Nickolas took the time to color me a beautiful picture and I also received a really cute "puppy" birthday card from him, his mom Rachelle and Jason Mahoney, it was really a great day. The birthday hugs were pretty great too, thanks guys. Thank you all for making my birthday a lot of fun! Since we don't have time trials here at Manitowoc, we chose playing cards to determine our heat line-up positions. The heat began with Benkert and Lynn out front followed by Thiel and Christophersen. Christophersen hit the gas as the green flag flew and moved in the lead with an impressive lead. Benkert and Mahoney rounded out the top three. By lap three Mahoney had moved into second pushing Benkert into third position. Soon Findley moved into third and all three held their positons to the end with Christophersen taking first, Mahoney taking second and Findley taking third. After crossing the finish line, Benkert experienced a tense moment as his steering wheel came off in his hands. Back in the pits Mahoney found he had broken a weld which he quickly fixed by borrowing a fellow racers welding machine, we thank them for helping us out. The feature began with Gundlach and Lynn out front, when the green flag flew Gundlach's car stayed where it was, causing a chain reaction behind him and a restart. Findley immediately moved out front and Pollak and Terrault left the field with minor car trouble. Christophersen moved into second with Benkert in third. In lap 7 Christophersen lost a chain moving into the infield and giving up second to Mahoney with Benkert and Thiel battling behind. Findley had a considerable lead as did Mahoney, Benkert finally lost his battle with Thiel in the 15th lap with the final result being Findley in first, Mahoney in second and Thiel rounding out the top three. Back in the pits Mahoney found he had not secured a shock explaining why he had such a rough feature ride, good fortune was on his side, you'd never have known he'd had problems on the track, he drove really well taking second in the heat and the feature! It was a day of fun, good food (thanks Keith and Betty for grilling) and good friends. Grundy Speedway, July 8, 2007 - With the temperatures rising above 90 and the heat almost unbearable, it was sure to be an exciting day of racing. We are happy to welcome Steve Kreft back to the team in his new #12 car. Farmer will be driving for Jim Thiel (#33) today because Jim had the nerve to go on a cruise! Now how much fun could that be? It was also good to see Bob Veugeler at the track today, you look great Bob! Fast time today was taken by Kip Novotny with a time of 15.387. The trophy dash would be run by Mahoney, LeSage, Benkert and Pollak today. This four lap dash resulted in LeSage taking first, Mahoney taking second, Pollak taking third and Benkert taking fourth. Our first heat began with Benkert out front followed by Corso and Kreft. By lap two Corso had moved up into first position pushing Benkert into second and Terrault had moved into third. In lap three Farmer, driving the 33 car, left the track momentarily but was back on the track in no time and quickly back to fourth position. Soon Gundlach had moved into second behind Corso and Benkert and Farmer battled for third position. In lap 6 Farmer won the battle and was now in third. All three held their positions with Corso taking first, Gundlach taking second and Farmer (#33) rounding out the top three. Our second heat began with John LeSage out front followed by Pollak and Mahoney. By lap two Mahoney had pulled into second position and Findley was right behind him. With LeSage holding first position and Mahoney maintaining second, the battle was on between Findley and Novotny. In the end LeSage held the lead, and Novotny took second and Mahoney took third. After the race Mahoney discovered his pipe had broken in half (see photo page) and without a welder to fix it, he used a pop can to attempt to hold the pipe together for the feature. With the day finally cooling off a bit, it was finally time for the feature and the lineup began with Kreft and Benkert out front followed by Corso and Gundlach. In lap one Corso quickly moved to first position and Findley moved into third behind Gundlach. Mahoney's fix wasn't going to hold so he was forced to leave the track. By lap two Findley was behind Corso in second with LeSage now in third. By lap six Novotny had overtaken LeSage for third position and the race went on. During lap 12 Gundlach and Farmer (#33) tangled and Gundlach spun and hit the wall, Farmer regained control and moved on but as Novotny rounded the turn he encountered a flying cone and was unable to avoid Gundlach and ran into his car and flipped, a caution was thrown. While Novonty and Gundlach's cars were in pretty bad shape the drivers are fine and after towing them off the field, Farmer realized he had a broken part and also left the field. Benkert was experiencing car trouble and was also forced to leave the track. The restart began with Corso out front followed by Findley and then LeSage, the green flag flew and the race was back on. Findley hit the gas and quickly took first position and LeSage followed suit and took second pushing Corso into third. During lap 18 LeSage was forced to leave the field due to a broken belt and Corso was now in second with Terrault in third. With one lap to go, Pollak also had to leave the field leaving four cars in the final lap. The final result was Findley taking first, Corso taking second and Terrault rounding out the top three. It was definately a "survival of the fittest" tonight, great race guys and we're glad to say Novotny and Gundlach are doing fine, check out their car's on our photo page. Grundy, July 15, 2007 - With some relief from the heat, it was a beautiful day for racing. Todd Booker is driving the #30 car today for Jason Mahoney who is enjoying a relaxing weekend of Nascar racing. Booker's pit crew (i.e., girlfriend), Tiffany really put some of us other women to shame, starting up his car with one pull and even pushing it back to his parking spot once the motor was shut off! Fast time was taken by Mark Findley today with a time of 15.416. Kreft, Pollak, Booker (#30) and LeSage will be driving in today's trophy dash. Jim worked feverishly to repair a leaky gas tank and hoped it would hold through the day. Our trophy dash began with Kreft and Pollak out front followed by Booker and LeSage. This four lap event saw LeSage moving out front almost immediately followed by Booker in second Kreft in third and Pollak in fourth and all three maintained their positions to the end. Our heat began with Kreft and "Black Eye" Benkert out front followed by Thiel and Pollak. By lap two LeSage had moved out front pushing Kreft into second followed by Thiel in third. The next lap Thiel had moved into second and Findley was now in third. By lap five LeSage was still out front and Findley was now in second and Thiel maintaining third with Booker on his tail. By lap nine Booker was able to overtake Thiel for third position with the final result being LeSage in first, Findley in second and Booker rounding out the top three. After our heat there was some time to enjoy a nice lunch provided by Team LeSage and lovingly prepared for me by John's girlfriend Renee. Thanks so much. While Pollak ran a good heat his motor didn't survive and he won't be able to race our feature, a real disappointment. Our feature began with "Black Eye" Benkert and Kreft out front with Thiel and Findley right behind. During the first lap Findley moved into first with LeSage close behind and Thiel rounding out the top three positions. By lap five LeSage had overtaken Findley for first and the battle for third was on with Thiel holding this position for the next 14 laps while Booker tried to overtake him. During lap eight, "Black Eye" Benkert was forced to leave the field due to a broken pipe. In the final lap Booker managed to overtake Thiel at the finish line with the final result being LeSage taking first, Findley taking second and Booker taking third. Thankfully Thiels tank held. It was really fun watching him and Booker tonight. Madison International Speedway, July 28, 2007 - Heading out to Madison on a beautiful day for racing, warm in the sun and comfortable in the shade. Nick Petska joins us tonight as a sub driver for the #23 car. It was so nice to see Lee Holverson (#55R) to bring his car out of hiding for tonight's race, thanks Lee. Farmer also joined us again driving the #38 car. It was also exciting to see Kyle Lynn back on the track, his will be celebrating his 16th birthday this coming Saturday and will finally hit the track at Grundy on Sunday! As our drivers went out for some hot laps, John LeSage was involved in a minor tangle that took him out of today's racing, a real disappointment. This being our first race here at Madison on a 1/4 mile track, considering the speed of our cars and the tightness of the track (not enough room to maneuver), a decision was made to run 7 cars rather than 12 to ensure the safety of our drivers and their cars. We are hoping to race the 1/2 mile track when we next appear at Madison. Our first heat began with Holverson out front with Lynn beside him, Thiel and Kreft were directly behind. Thiel immediately pulled out front pushing Holverson into second position followed by Mahoney in third. By lap three Corso had moved into second third position and Mahoney was now in second. All three held their positions to the end with Thiel taking first, Mahoney taking second and Corso rounding out the top three. Since Pepsi was sponsoring the track tonight, besides winning bragging rights for the night, Thiel also received a case of Mountain Dew! Tonights feature began with Lynn out front and Kreft by his side with Holverson and Corso behind. When the green flag flew Corso quickly took first position and began to pull away, Thiel moved into second position in lap two with Mahoney hot on his tail. During lap 6, Holverson spun in turn three and after a caution and restart the race resumed. Corso had a considerable lead and it was Mahoney in second with Thiel close behind, they battled for second but Mahoney maintained his position to the end with the final result being Corso taking first, Mahoney taking second and Thiel rounding out the top three. Corso did some spins for the crowd on his way to the winners circle to the delight of the crowd. Corso enjoyed winning his case of Mountain Dew as well as a large insulated Pepsi cup for his win. Great race guys! Grundy Speedway, August 5, 2007 - With a hot muggy day ahead of us we couldn't be sure who would ultimately win today, one of our drivers or Mother Nature! We welcome Nick Petska who will be driving the #23 car today as well as driving his own Mini-Mod, he'll have to do some fancy footwork to move between cars in this heat, thanks for coming Nick. After some hot laps, Mother Nature decided to throw a wrench into the days events by giving us some rain. This was a double disappointment for Pollak who after hot laps discovered car trouble and would be a spectator today. Betty Benkert joined the troops on the field to help dry the track...would Betty get in more laps than us today? With the track dry it was time to qualify. Findley took fast time and Terrault, found problems with his car after qualifying and found it was time to pack it in as well. Our trophy dash would be run by Lynn, Benkert, Thiel and Mahoney. The dash began with Lynn and Benkert out front but in the first lap Mahoney pulled out front with Thiel right behind him, it was a battle but Mahoney won with Thiel taking second and Lynn rounding out the top three. Our 10 lap heat would be down to six cars with Pollak and Terrault out with car trouble. Lynn and Mahoney were out front followed by Thiel and Findley. As the green flag flew, Mahoney moved into first and Findley pulled quickly into second and Thiel was right behind. A battle between Mahoney and Findley ensued for five laps (side-by-side) before Findley was able to overtake Mahoney for the lead. The final result was Findley taking first, Mahoney taking second and Thiel rounding out the top three. It was quite a race for first position. After the race, Findley had this to say..."This was the most fun I've had on the track since Kip and I battled side-by-side and I spun at the finish line. I really had to work to get past Mahoney, he drove a great race." With our feature line-up prepared, Mother Nature struck again, this time with torrential downpours, everyone scrambled to get their cars in trailers or covered with tarps, there wasn't a dry racer in the bunch! It was a good day of racing even though it was cut short by rain. Even Betty Benkert couldn't dry the track this time! Manitowoc County Speedway, August 11, 2007 - Since I was out of town sunning myself at Miami Beach and visiting with my daughter this weekend, I wish to thank Betty Benkert for stepping up and taking care of this weekend's race scoring, I really appreciate it. Jim Thiel had some friends in the stands tonight and from the race results, I see he showed them what a good driver he is. Thank you Jason for making sure his car got to the track since Jim would have had a hard time towing his car with his Harley. A special Happy Birthday goes out to John Benkert, I hope it was a great one! With the line-up ready our heat would begin with Pollak and Terrault out front followed by Benkert and Kreft. When the green flag flew Kreft moved into the lead with Terrault in second and Thiel in third. By lap three Terrault had moved into first with Thiel close behind and Kreft now in third position. During lap five Pollak moved into third position. Lap six found Thiel out front pushing Terrault into second position and Mahoney trying to overtake Pollak for third. The final result was Thiel taking first, Terrault taking second and Mahoney rounding out the top three. But let's not forget the Big Cheese who took fourth in tonight's heat, way to go Rob! Mother Nature threw a wrench into things by raining on our parade but we were able to get in our feature. The lineup began with Kreft and Benkert out front and Findley and Pollak in the second row. At the start of the race Benkert moved out front with Findley close behind and Pollak moving into third position. Kreft had car trouble and had to leave the field. Two laps later Findley was out front pushing Benkert into second and Thiel had moved into third. In lap six, with Findley still out front, Thiel managed to overtake Benkert for second. All three held their positions to the end with the final result being Findley in first, Thiel in second and Benkert in third. September 1st, 2007 - Heading up for a weekend of dirt racing in Manitowoc the weather was beautiful and excitement was in the air. As we pulled into the pits after a couple of weeks off, it was nice to see everyone again. Since we don't qualify here at Manitowoc, the line-up was prepared in advance and Kyle and Rob paid the biggest bribes and were put out front for our heat (just kidding). Our heat began with Lynn and Pollak out front with Terrault and Benkert in the second row. When the green flag flew Lynn and Terrault tangled after turn two and after their cars were restarted the race continued but Findley was forced to leave the field when he realized a shock tower had broken, so down to five cars the race continued. Pollak moved out into first with Benkert in second and Terrault now in third. By lap two Thiel had moved into third position and all three stayed in their positions for another 7 laps. During lap 6 Kreft left thei field with a broken chain. Thiel and Pollak battled for first positions and after the final turn Thiel won out taking first, Pollak took second and Benkert rounded out the top three. After the race there was a flurry of activity in the pits, Kreft and Findley worked on Findley's car welding the shock tower back into position as Benkert worked on Kreft's chain. With the cars ready to race it was time for our feature. The Feature began with Findley out front with Kreft by his side and Lynn and Terrault in the second row. When the green flag flew Benkert and Thiel sling shotted to the head of the pack with Findley now in third. During lap 2 Kreft's chain was lost again and he pulled off the track. By lap four Thiel had moved out front pushing Benkert into second, but by lap five Benkert took back first. Lap 8 Thiel took first again and Benkert was in second with Findley still close behind in third. All three held their positions to the end. Congratulations to Jim Thiel on "Sweeping" the night and taking his first feature win! It was great racing by everyone and all the cars are in good shape for tomorrow's race. With Mahoney and Thiel so close in points tonight's racing put's Thiel 8 points ahead of Mahoney. What will tomorrow bring? Sunday September 2nd, 2007 - Another beautiful day and everyone looks to be in good condition for today's racing, considering a long night of camping out here at the track, I hear Jim's going to pass on some pictures of the nights events. Early in the day a rather interesting hauler was spotted by some of the guys, so interesting in fact that a photo was required, see our photo page for this great photo of our own John "Wingnut" Benkert....I'll say no more. Today's heat begins with Terrault and Lynn out front with Pollak and Kreft in the second row. Terrault moved out front quickly with Lynn and Pollak close behind. By lap three Thiel had moved into first position pushing Terrault into second and Pollak into third. Kreft had car trouble and left the field. While Jim held his lead Terrault and Pollak battled for second but in the final lap Pollak won out keeping second and Mahoney had moved into third. Great race guys. Our feature began with Kreft and Lynn out front and Benkert and Findley in the second row. When the green flag flew Findley quickly moved out front with Benkert close behind and Kreft rounding out the top three. During lap two Terrault moved into third but was overtaken by Mahoney in lap three. During lap three Thiel was forced to leave the track with a broken throttle cable. Mahoney and Benkert battled for a few laps before Mahoney moved into second pushing Benkert into third. Mahoney and Benkert battled the entire race with the final result being Findley taking first, Mahoney taking second and Benkert taking third. Great race guys. Thiels misfortune was Mahoney's gain with the two leaving Manitowoc tied for second place, should be some interesting racing at our next race in Grundy on the 16th! Grundy County Speedway, September 16, 2007 - The day may have threatened cold, but it turned out to be the perfect weather for a great day of racing. We would all like to thank Krause Construction for sponsoring our race today, thank you Jason and Rachelle for making that possible. We'd like to welcome Dan Chapman, of CMW Welding, who will be driving the #82 car today. While being a Rookie Driver can be a stressful event for some, Dan comes with a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Hoping for some anonymity, in case he really screws up, he wears a race suit sporting the name Moulis, but I make sure the track officials get his name right. It was great to see our own Dave Nett today along with Rick Corso, who will be driving double duty today jumping between the Rascal Outlaws and the Mini Mod's. It was also great to see John LeSage back behind the wheel. Along with these old and new friends, it was a nice surprise to see the Ihrke brothers here at the track as well. As our drivers went out for some hot-laps it was a real disappointment to see Jim Thiel encounter trouble and hit the wall. We're glad he is fine, but his car didn't fare so well and he would not be able to hit the track today. Turning lemon's into lemonade, Jim graciously volunteered to be the track photographer today, enabling us to get some great action shots of our cars on the track. Tackling chain link fence, the glare of the sun, and a camera he's not familiar with, I think Jim did one heck of a job, thank you again, Jim! Our own Mark Findley took fast time at the track today with a time of 15.367. With our heat line-up prepared it was time to hit the track. The heat began with Lynn and Kreft out front followed by Pollak and Terrault. Pollak quickly moved out front with Mahoney close behind followed by Corso. By lap three Corso had moved into first pushing Pollak into second and Mahoney into third. By lap four LeSage had moved into third and Pollak was still holding onto second. In the final lap LeSage overtook Pollak for second with the final result being Corso taking first, LeSage taking second and Pollak rounding out the top three. Rookie driver Chapman drove an impressive first race finishing in 10th position. Great race guys! As I was writing up the feature line-up, Chapman was excited to see he was in the back of the pack "with the fast cars", I didn't know if I had the heart to tell him all rookies go to the back, ahh...let him have his moment. Our feature began with Lynn and Kreft out front followed by Terrault and Benkert. As the green flag flew Lynn moved out front followed by Terrault and Kreft. By lap two Terrault was out front followed by Findley and then LeSage with Corso moving ever closer. By lap three Corso was in second with LeSage hot on his tail. During lap seven, Terrault left the field to "take a breather" and the race went on with Findley out front, Corso in second and LeSage holding third. During lap eleven, LeSage bumped Chapman, and Chapman was introduced to the wall...the caution flag was thrown. As track officials surveyed the situation, Chapman said "Give me a pull start, I'm good to go", officials weren't so sure, "what? Do I have a flat tire?" asked Chapman, to which track officials responded "You have more than a flat tire", and they towed his car off the track (see photo page). With the field in restart position, LeSage was moved to the back of the pack and Mahoney was now in third position. All three held their positions to the end (in spite of Corso's love tap to Findley during the final lap) with Findley taking first, Corso taking second and Mahoney rounding out the top three. Another great feature guys! Dells Raceway Park, September 29, 2007 - As we are heading to the Dells for our last race of the season, I find myself drifting in and out of sleep thinking "MY GOD, I haven't seen 5:00am in a very long time, so this is what is looks like", I'm not impressed and continue to sleep when suddenly I am dreaming of the happenings of this racing season... I dream of our first race this season at Grundy, how "The Legend" took fast time that day, it was almost surreal, I am convinced you get a better time if you get an extra 6 or so laps to warm up your tires. Ah it was a great day of racing but I still can't figure out how our fast time qualifier that day ended up out front for the feature. Soon I'm dreaming about other events at the track this year, things like Benkert's steering wheel coming off in his hands as he crossed the finish line, or Corso's chain falling off after driver introductions, Mahoney attempting to hold his pipe together with a pop can, Jeff's rollover, John's spins, the "chain killer", the flying cone incident, Betty Benkert helping to dry the track at Grundy, Thiel sweeping and taking his first feature win, Findley's broken shock tower, Corso's love tap, the Rainbow Guys, Kyle turning 16, Chapman's "flat tire", and of course Pollak finally finishing a race. Yes it's been fun this season, time to wake up and start the day! Finally we arrive at the Dells and it's great to see Novotny back at the track. Jeff LeSage will be driving the #23 car today and it's great to see him too. As the guys go out for some hot-laps, Novotny encounters car trouble and is helped off the track by Lynn. Novotny is out for the day, a real disappointment for everyone. Corso needed to do some welding on his car after hot-laps, but he finished in time to qualify. Fast time was taken by John LeSage with a time of 13.508 - Great Job John!! Our heat started out with Kreft and LeSage (#23) out front with Benkert and Lynn in second position. As the green flag flew LeSage moved out front with Lynn close behind and Thiel moved into third position. Lynn held second position until during the 8th lap John LeSage over took him. The final result was Jeff LeSage taking first, John LeSage taking second and Lynn rounding out the top three. Back in the pits Findley discovered a car problem which turned out to be a cracked head, Novotny offered up the head from his car and they quickly put Findley's car back together so he would be able to make the feature, thank's a bunch Kip and everyone else who helped. Corso was also having some minor car troubles but he too would make the feature. The feature lineup began with Benkert and Kreft out front with Corso and Findley, yes Corso and Findley, right behind. When the green flag fell, Corso zoomed into first position with Benkert in second and Findley in third. By lap two Findley had moved into second pushing Benkert into third. Corso's lead continued to grow and soon Findley had LeSage (#3) on his tail for second. The two battled for 6 laps when LeSage was finally able to overtake Findley for second. The final result was Corso taking first, LeSage taking second and Findley rounding out the top three. With our season now over I'd like to congratulate Mark Findley, our Series Champion this year, Jason Mahoney took Second and Jim Thiel took Third. Great job guys!
